Parliament Francesce After migration to Linux (Kubuntu, to be exact), including the Chamber of Deputies has decided to let "The Penguin" in the heart of Italian democracy.
migration must include some 3500 machines, both desktops to servers, to use "public", while each MP and secretary of each party will also migrate your computer (private) to free operating systems.
This choice was made for several reasons ... First of all allow a nice savings, saving more than 3 million each year (each machine licenses currently cost an average of 900 € year), but it is also a big step forward in terms of technological independence and freedom, abandoning proprietary systems that run counter to the meaning of Democracy itself. However
should not be left out the technical reasons that are substantially related to the security of Parliament (and thus to that of all citizens).
